BRUSSELS SPROUTS!!! I'm sure when I say brussels sprouts, there's a few people that think, yuck! But if you cook them right with the right kind of flavors, you'll love them and the nutritional value of these bad boys is a huge WIN! Eating healthy shouldn't be just for losing fat, it should also help you gain some life!!! Getting the right kind of micronutrients is imperative to creating a healthy body, free from disease!! Below is one of my recipes worth trying!!

INGREDIENTS

▢ 24 ounces (1.5 pounds) Fresh Brussels Sprouts

▢ 3 T Olive Oil

▢ 1 tsp Salt

▢ 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash Salt Free Lemon pepper

▢ 1 tsp Garlic Powder

▢ 1 tsp Onion Powder

▢ 1/3 C Grated Parmesan Cheese - The kind that comes in the shaker

▢ Balsamic Glaze- Found in the oil and vinegar aisle

▢ 2 T Minced Garlic- I like to use the jar of minced garlic

▢ 1 T of Lemon Zest

▢ Juice from One Lemon

I prefer to broil my brussels sprouts because this is a faster method but it does require you keep a close eye on them as to not burn them.

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and cut brussels sprouts on half length wise. Toss brussels sprouts in the with the ingredients and  make sure to coat the brussels sprouts well. Place on a baking sheet (I cover my baking sheet with foil, easier clean up). With any remaining oil,  brush the rest on the brussels sprouts. Turn the oven on to broil and cook until crispy and semi-soft. Enjoy!
